No, Shake Away will not harm animals. We have never had a report of any injuries to pets with this product.

This product contains natural blood meal and essential oil scents. The scent alone should be a warning for most animals. If they eat it there should be no issues. We have had no reports of any harm to animals using any of the Shakeaway products.

Generally it needs to be reapplied when Rodents reappear. You can be proactive and put it down every 2-3 weeks if desired, or after heavy rains.

Shakeaway Rodent Repellent Granules can work for moles and voles, but they are different creatures and most of the time must be handled differently. Baits such as Kaput work best for voles, as they are more mice like and will continually scavenge for food. Moles however, will not eat commercial rodent bait but will eat earthworms and grubs. The best place to put this product is around the tires since that is where rodents typically enter a vehicle. Sprinkling in the engine area can help, but a better product is Detour. It contains white pepper. Use Detour on wires or where rodents are nibbling - https://www.epestcontrol.com/pest-pro...

Shakeaway works by repelling rats and mice with the urine scent of a larger animal such as fox, coyote, etc. It can be effective as long as the rat or mouse has a natural tendency to be scared or afraid of predatory animals.
