Talstar kills on contact. Once it contacts them, it usually kills them in a matter of minutes. Onslaught Fastcap kills almost instantly. I have used it on large wasp nests and dropped the entire wasp nest to the ground with a single spray. Either product works fine.

The if they are in the basement, just keep them away until it dries. If you are going to spray inside the home, then keep them away until it dries. This usually takes a couple of hours. Yes, Talstar is very suitable for tick control in lawns. I recommend applying at 1 oz of Talstar per gallon of water and using at least 1 gallon of mixed spray per 1,000 square feet. For ticks be sure to wet any wood surfaces such as tree trunks, shrubs, fences, etc. Re-application after 14 days may be necessary, as well a repeated applications until the problem is solved.

The short answer is yes. It will kill them on contact if you spray them directly. Will it kill millions of Asian Beetles that are migrating from fields and surrounding areas?

You can't control mother nature. It's sort of like a plague of locusts. Nothing you can do when there are millions of them. Spraying the exterior of the house around the doors and windows will help to keep them out. Indoors vacuuming will help. Spraying around window sills and exterior walls helps too.

I have a two year old boy and we have a ton of ant in our home...i was wanting to double check that it is ok to use this in my house around my 2 year old son. And we have carpet is it ok to put on carpet??? See more »

Talstar is ok to use around baseboards for general insect control, and when dry and all odors are gone, it should be ok for infants to re-enter. We have never had any issues with Talstar or Bifenthrin.

Talstar is also good for outdoor ant control, such as spraying yards, and the exterior perimeter of homes and buildings. The active ingredient - "Bifenthrin" is found in many professional use and over the counter sprays.

It depends on heat and moisture. In most cases during the spring summer and fall, it will last at a concentration high enough to kill fleas for about 1 -2 weeks. It will last at a concentration high enough to kill spiders, ants and cockroaches for about 2 -3 weeks. After that, it usually either is washed away by rain or watering, or it is made ineffective by the heat and sun.

Basic rule is reapply when needed. For fleas every 2-3 weeks or until the problem goes away.

You need to use a miticide that is labeled for mites. Talstar or Bifen IT are both great products for mite control and can be used indoors and outdoors.

No, Talstar is not for application to mattresses or furniture. Here is a link to the label - page 5 under Bed Bugs - http://www.epestsupply.com/images/Pro...

Products that can be sprayed on mattresses are Bedlam Plus, Ultracide and Precor 2625. Hope this helps.

If it is clumping up the only thing you can do is to add some water and see if it will dissolve. You might need to use a drill paddle / paint mixer and try to blend it up. If that doesn't work, use new Talstar P.
