Talstar PL Granular Insecticide is like sand, and therefore can penetrate deeper than Talstar EZ !

They penetrate deep into mulch and grass to kill pests where they breed and hide. Simply spread the granules over your lawn according to the label directions. The difference between Talstar EZ Granules and Talstar PL is granular size. Packaged in 25 lb bags. Please read and follow all labeling directions.

Talstar PL Granular Insecticide Features:
* Broadcast insecticide granules
* Sand core granular structure, provides a 2 to 4 month residual
* Supplies effective, long-term protection (Longest residual of any granule on the market).
* It penetrates mulch and grass, with no watering needed.
* Works great on ants and fleas outdoors

Talstar PL Granular Insecticide Uses / Applications:
Use on lawns in landscaped areas and perimeters around residential, institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields. Talstar granules look like sand and are easy to apply and practically invisible. The larger granules are easier to spread. Please refer to product label for application rates for the pest you are treating. Do not apply more than 200 lbs. per Acre per year.

A normal application usually consists of three to five pounds of product. We recommend applying Talstar PL granules with a hand spreader. One 25lb. bag covers 5,000-10,000 square feet. Always read the label.

It is a granule product and should only be used outdoors. It is not labeled for indoor use. After it is applied it should be safe around animals and pets.

As long as it used according to label directions, there should not be any issues. I have not had any reports of issues with animals, pets, etc. from Talstar granules. Here is a link to the label directions - http://www.epestsupply.com/images/Pro...

Yes, Talstar granules are very effective against Scorpions. For 1-2 punch, spray Talstar Concentrate first, and then apply the granules.

Sticky traps such as the ePest IPM trap and also Trapper LTD's work well indoors to trap them too.

Do fleas have wings? There is a company that uses Tempo and Tallstar. Is this a safe product? I read you post that it is when dry.
We have found 5 bugs in our master bath. My husband thought he brought them home on clothing. I have spray Ortho Home defense but I did not see that it is efective on fleas. We have two dogs that are treated with prevention and have found nothing on them.

Talstar and Tempo?

No, fleas do not have wings. They have extremely large back legs and they jump! It has been estimated that if a flea were a person it could jump over the Empire State Building. So basically they can jump around 3 feet. There is a process you have to go through to control fleas. Here is a link to our guide on how to control Fleas.

As far as Talstar and Tempo, both are good products, not the best for fleas indoors. My favorite is using Ultracide with Alpine and rotating back and forth every 2 weeks until they are gone. Even with professional pest control products, there is no 1 time cure. It takes a thorough program for at least 3 -4 weeks.

I have never heard of that. Is the Talstar PL getting wet? If there is moisture then it could clump up. As far as the scott's spreader, it could be that the flow is restricted somehow. I am not sure just based on what you are telling me. a commercial grade spreader is always best with this type of product, or it could be applied by hand.

Talstar PL kills almost any insect that comes in contact with it. For crickets and other surface pests, Talstar Pro spray may be a better option. You can spray and kill them on contact.

Talstar is very effective on chinch bugs. 2-3 applications at 3-4 week intervals may be needed for complete control. I treatment with any product is usually not enough. Make repeated applications for best results.

Yes, Talstar PL can be effective against ticks. However, I recommend to use the liquid version of Talstar and perform a spray of the infested areas. Granules are heavy and penetrate through grass blades to the soil. They are very effective at killing soil insects such as Grubs, ants, etc. Ticks will usually hang out on tree trucks, plant leaves, grass blades, etc. The granule you apply may never contact them. A thorough spray will. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have a Scott’s whirl handheld spreader and I want to know what setting it should be on from 1 to 4. See more »

Scotts handspreaders are designed for Scotts products. There is no chart or anything to determine what setting to use if using anything different than a Scotts product. The best advice is to experiment and see what it takes to apply the amount of product over a small area, then use that setting to spread over a larger area.

Should not be harmful to any grasses if applied according the label directions. Bifenthrin has no toxicity towards grasses.
